and chilled. Not now! We're near 90 degrees, and desperately missing our air conditioning...we're whimps! But it gives me a good excuse to relax and sit in front of the fan all evening! : )June was a good month for us. We passed our driver's exams and received our Czech driver's licenses, went to a concert in a beautiful cathedral with Honza and Milada to see their youngest

perform, celebrated with
colleagues as several of our MK's graduated from high school and are preparing to head back to the States for college, had a baby shower for a dear friend and colleague and are anxiously awaiting the birth of our "nephew", Carrie finally got brave enough to get her hair cut in a Czech salon (kudos to my language tutor who understood what I wanted well
enough to help me translate it into Czech!), spent a week in Poland for our annual time of retreat and refreshment with other colleagues (we spent every afternoon at the indoor waterpark, definitely a highlight for the kids!), and celebrated the last day of school on June 30! What a fun month it has been!
Hunter and Allie worked on a special project in June. They made a video of what life is like as a Missionary Kid. It is our hope that it gives you an insight into our daily life and the culture that God has planted us to work in. You can view the video at the following YouTube link:
One of our ministry highlights was sharing more of the Gospel and having some great religious
conversations with Gabriel, our translator that helped us through the lengthy process of getting our driver's licenses. He is an athiest, and believes strongly that evolution is the only explanation for our existence. Clem has shared with him in length about God and evidence of His existence. Most of what Clem shared with him Gabriel explained as being "coincidence", however there was one example Clem gave him that did make him pause momentarily, and even he admitted that it seemed as though it must be an "extremely extraordinary coincidence". He's a tough cookie! We are big supporters of the Answers magazine, a magazine put out by Answers in Genesis, a Creation Science organization. Gabriel agreed to read some articles from the magazine, some of which were written by Carrie's uncle. It has been very exciting for us to partner in ministry with her uncle in this way. Please pray for Gabriel in the coming weeks and months as he reads what we've given him and processes what God will show him through this new information. We have invited he and his girlfriend over for dinner, but they have yet to tell us when they're available to come. Pray that God provide more opportunities to visit with Gabriel and build our relationship with him.
Wednesday night Carrie had an "End of the year party" for the ladies in her English class. Many Europeans have 4-8 weeks of vacation that they take during July and August. Therefore, the ladies chose to not meet again until September. Please pray that God will stir their hearts for Him during this time of holiday, and help Carrie prepare for a GREAT year ahead. Carrie is also
in need of a new co-teacher, as her current one is heading back to the States this month. Please pray that God bring her an amazing partner to teach with.
We look forward to a fun and very busy summer ahead. We will do two English camps in July. Both in the mountains in the northern part of the country, a great location to share about God's greatness! The first camp is one we're doing through the Czech church that we attend. We're very excited to partner with them in this way! The second camp we'll be doing the following week and we are working with our colleagues from Brno. We're very excited to partner with these colleagues and see how God is moving in other parts of the country.

When we're not at camps, we'll be enjoying slower, calmer, lazy summer days with the kids. We have one more week of language before our tutors take the rest of July and August off for their holiday break. We plan to review what we've learned up to this point, work on expanding our vocabulary, and seek out opportunities to practice our conversational skills. We're going to plan pool time and plenty of park time with the kids as well. This weekend we experienced a new "first" as we road a paddle boat on the Vltava River. The kids loved it so much, we've decided to make it a weekly outing on the weeks that we're in town.
(We celebrated the 4th of July by camping out on the roof of our building...sleeping under the stars city style!)
A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THOSE THAT ANSWERED OUR REQUEST FOR GAMES THAT WE CAN USE IN OUR ENGLISH TEACHING MINISTRIES!!! WE APPRECIATE THE TIME YOU SPENT LOOKING FOR GAMES, PACKAGING AND MAILING THEM, AND FOR THE FINANCIAL GIFTS THAT PAID FOR THE INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Please continue to keep Prague and the people who live here in your prayers! We believe that God desires to "move mountains" in Central and Eastern Europe. Please pray that we are good and faithful servants in this part of the world as we wait patiently on His timing! What an awesome God we serve, and how blessed we are to be allowed to serve Him in this way! Thank you for serving with us through your prayer support!
Love,
Clem, Carrie, Hunter and Allie
